Welcome to PageTern!

We're a simple book review website with a few core goals in mind:

People want to have a neat and tidy space for their reading lists and reviews
People want to have a strong ability to control if and how they share any of that above data
People appreciate it when they aren't monetized and/or turned into advertisements

So we hope you find our little project a comfortable place to build your nest of reading lists and books.

Why PageTern?

I like birds a lot and my partner likes books a lot.

This was a fun way to combine the two things into a fun name.

Alpha disclosure

PageTern.app is currently offered as an alpha for public testing. Things will change. Things will break. I will do my best to minimize breaking changes and diruptions in service. There are known issues where the search API goes down because it's a public API that gets heavily taxed. I'm doing my best, there may be data losses, I'm trying to not have that be the case. I will update this as I improve things <3

Roadmap

You are currently on the public alpha of PageTern. This is essentially an "early access" project for friends, family, and anyone who stumbles upon this randomly

This project is under active development and has the following items on it's development roadmap at this time:

More sign-in methods
Native Mobile App
Ability to share reading lists with other users and follow other users reading lists
Ability to make public reviews (at the user's discretion), and search public reviews
Improved reliabiliy and performances of search APIs
Data visualization of your reading lists and reviews
Improved filtering/searching of reviews
